Heat Snap Trail Blazer's 4-Game Win Streak, Looks Like Former Self with 119-98 Victory

The Miami Heat looked like their former selves, with a sound and strong defensive showing that led to transition baskets.

The Heat beat the hot-handed Trail Blazers with both great defensive effort as well as an efficient offensive showing. All of the Heat starters scored in double figures, Jimmy Butler with 17 PTs, Caleb Martin with 16 PTs, Bam Adebayo with 18 PTs, Kyle Lowry with 17 PTs, and Tyler Herro with 14 PTs. Nikola Jovic saw his first NBA minutes in this game and was an immediate contributor, providing both spacing on the floor as well as length on defense as he came away with a +3 in the +/- category in 14 MINs. The Heat were also able to limit Damian Lillard to 22 PTs on an off night as well as shutting down co-stars Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons to 11 PTs and 14 PTs respectively. Overall, this was the most complete game that the Heat have played and the Heat looked like their dominant selves from a year ago.
