Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN) first reported that Ime Udoka was facing possible disciplinary action for an unspecified violation of Celtic organizational guidelines. Then, after initial reports saying that Udoka had a "consensual, and improper relationship" with a female worker in the Celtics organization, Shams Charania (The Athletic) broke the news that "some members of the Celtics organization first became aware in July of the intimate relationship between Ime Udoka and a female employee, and were led to believe that the relationship was consenesuall. But sources said that the woman recently accused Udoka of making unwanted comments toward her- leading the team to launch a set of internal interviews, (Shams, The Athletic)." This comes as a surprise after Udoka's successful rookie head coaching year where he took the Boston Celtics to an NBA Finals trip, coming up short 2-4 to the eventual champions, Golden State Warriors. Joe Mazzulla, assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, was named the interim head coach for the Celtics for the 2022-2023 NBA season while Udoka has been suspended for the season. It will be an interesting developing story as we'll see how the Celtics move on from this situation and if Udoka will ever coach again.
