Though Miami kept it close throughout the game, Curry's late 4th quarter shooting was enough for the reigning champs to pull off a victory.
The Heat were led by stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as they carried the workload for the team, both offensively and defensively. Butler was himself, with 27 PTs, 6 REBs, 8 ASTs, and a game-high 6 STLs while Adebayo had his best game of the season with 26 PTs, 8 REBs, and a defensive effort of 4 STLs, and 3 BLKs. Max Strus and Gabe Vincent provided a much-needed spark off the bench with 14 PTs and 9 PTs respectively. Tyler Herro and Kyle Lowry both had an off-night as they combined for only 19 PTs on an inefficient 7-22 combined. Though the Heat managed to have a team total of 16 STLs compared to only 4 by the Warriors, they were severely outrebounded, 31-50. Stephen Curry led the Warriors in scoring with 33 PTs with an impressive 7-14 from 3PT-range as well as Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins both contributed with 19 PTs and 18 PTs respectively. Though the Heat were able to keep it within a one-possession game all throughout the game, a late run by Curry himself sealed the victory.

Though the Heat fall to 2-4, this loss saw stars Butler and Adebayo breakout as well as show how tough they are defensively. Many of the Heat's problems, such as stagnant offense at times and size and rebounding, can be solved with the return of both Victor Oladpio and Omer Yurtseven, who are both out with minor injuries and will look to play in the near future. The Heat will look to bounce back on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 6:00 pm EST against the winless Sacramento Kings.
